Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service. By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information:

  • Content URLs, identifiers, or files that you submit
  • YouTube URLs, video IDs, requested languages, and other public API request inputs
  • Transcript data and other text-based outputs we generate
  • API transcription outputs and API transcription lookup metadata
  • API request logs, including endpoint, method, status code, request ID, timing, error code, and credit movement
  • API key metadata, such as key name, status, creation time, last used time, and partial key prefix for display
  • Webhook endpoint URLs, selected event types, delivery attempts, delivery status, response status, timing, and related job IDs
  • Basic usage analytics (page views, errors) for service improvement

We do not require account creation or personal information to use the service.

Public Outputs

Important: Outputs generated through our service may be public and may be:

  • Accessible to anyone with the public link
  • Indexed by search engines
  • Shared by other users

Do not use this service for content containing sensitive or private information. By generating an output, you acknowledge that it may be publicly accessible. This is by design to make outputs easy to access and discover.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Generate and display transcripts and related outputs
  • Authenticate API requests and manage API keys
  • Run public API transcript requests and bulk jobs
  • Send, retry, and debug webhook deliveries
  • Apply rate limits, billing, credits, and abuse prevention
  • Improve our service and fix bugs
  • Display advertisements (ad-supported service)
  • Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience

Data Storage and Retention

Outputs stored on our servers may be retained indefinitely. We reserve the right to remove content or outputs that violate our terms of service or applicable laws.

API transcript bodies expire after 3 days. Billing records, analytics, request logs, webhook delivery records, API key metadata, credit movement, and other operational metadata may be retained longer so we can operate the service, resolve support issues, audit usage, and prevent abuse.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party services that may collect information:

  • Third-party content providers: We may access publicly available source data or metadata made available by third parties
  • Paddle: Processes paid subscriptions, credit purchases, invoices, taxes, and related billing support
  • Webhook endpoints you configure: Receive the event payloads you choose to send from the API platform

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
