API transcript bodies are short-lived. Plan storage around the 3-day retention window.
Transcript content
Completed API transcriptions include expiresAt. Fetch or store content you need before that timestamp.
Metadata
Job, request-log, and webhook delivery metadata can remain visible in the dashboard for operational troubleshooting after transcript content expires.
Uploaded source files
Incomplete multipart uploads are aborted after one day. Completed local-upload source objects expire from Media Caption S3 after 30 days. Cloud-storage sources submitted by URL are not copied into Media Caption S3.
